Where the heck is the Anderson Family!!??

Well, what great bloggers we are!! We haven't had an entry since April Fool's Day!!!

And now, all of a sudden, the whole family has up and moved to the hinterlands (Dirk took a job helping run Utah State University's Regional Campus and Distance Education program), about 80 miles north and east through Sardine Canyon, through Logan, and up to a little town of not even 10,000 people called Smithfield, Utah. It is not even 10 miles North of the city of Logan and the University.

How small is it? Well, here is a picture of a "vehicle" I followed home for the last mile or so of my drive just two days ago!! Let's just say he definitely owned the road!!

Well, we've already had a lot of fun doing both small town and college town things. We've gone fishing, attended a neighborhood party (Madi's U.S. Flag sidewalk art and the boys doing some rock wall, well, OK, coconut tree, climbing), had a picnic along the Logan River up the canyon (fly fishers in tow), cousin Sarah from Illinois and we had so much fun hanging out with her, Grandma Judie came up from Bountiful with Sarah (OK, she brought Sarah), and we had a great family get-together at our new home with Rory's brother and sisters, minus Zanny.

Things are going well, and we think we are adjusting to podunk USA life pretty well.

Here are some pictures of us from July of this year . . .

We went fishing (Dirk and the kids that can walk, pictured) on the morning of Pioneer Day. Madi caught the only fish, but the other kids admitted that the trip was fun.

Here are some pictures from the Pioneer Day party . . . Will and Evan climbing, and Madi's sidewalk picture of the American Flag . . .

Here is a picture of the plane that flew me and my boss, Ronda Menlove, from Logan to Vernal, Utah. Normally about a 4-hour drive, it only took us about an hour. It was AWESOME!!!

We were only going about 80 miles an hour when that thing lifted off the ground. We didn't have much turbulence, and the landing was smoother than a commercial flight. So much fun! I love my job!!

And here is a picture of Utah State University's trademark building, Old Main. I am lucky enough to actually have an office in Old Main. It is a beautiful building.

Wow, that is even smaller than the town we lived in in Mississippi. But, like you said, at least it is about 10 miles to Logan.

Wow! You guys are moving around more than we are lately :) It actually looks like a dream area - for some reason we have a soft spot for small college towns. They are awesome!

O.K. I am SPEECHLESS. I remember back in the day you guys couldn't WAIT to get out of small po-dunk town West Sacramento. And you moved to . . . WHERE?!? Wish I would have known. Cristian and I were just in Rexburg, ID a couple weekends ago for his sister's wedding.
